Italian velvet cap - Pearl

Another accessory to add to elegant and versatile outfits is the velvet flat cap designed by Antonio Fusaro since 1893. The headdress is a distinctive feature  bringing fashion and style to men who in turn lose a characteristic accessory and capable of giving the wearer an irresistible vintage style. 

How to preserve the accessory?

When it comes to garments and accessories in velvet, careful hand washing is always the best choice (also to avoid ruining the brim);  it will be essential to preserve it for as long as possible; therefore, be careful with hot water! For this purpose, always use a small container of warm water with a drop of delicate detergent and strictly bleach-free. And before immersing the hat, check that it does not discolor on contact.

In any case, make sure not to wet the brim unless it is so dirty that you have to wash it: instead, concentrate your attention on the inside of the hat, especially where the forehead rests; due to the inevitable rubbing, sweat and dirt tend to accumulate especially there. After a first wash, rinse with cold water and absolutely avoid twisting or wringing it! Leave it to dry in the sun: only in this way will you be sure that it will not lose its shape or get ruined.
